Site seeing

You may visit around the Szekelyko Mansion the following:

  • The local Unitarian, Calvinist or the Catholic Churches;
  • The castle ruins – the castle was built in the 13 century, and was the home of the Thoroczkay family,
  • The Sekler Rock - also known as the sleeping giant. It is 1128 m high
  • The  Ardascheia Peak - from up there the view is breath taking, you will see a landscape just like from a fairy tail. It is 1249 m high. 
  • Torocko – the next village, wich was an old mining town,  has a nice ethnografical museum, also the center of the village is almost unique in the region, all the house are from the mid and late 19 century and all of them were restored using traditional techniques. It is just 4 km from the Mansion
